This picture reminds me of the story of the “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Stetson, because it shows us how a woman is finally happy with her inner self. In the “The Yellow Wallpaper”, the narrator appears to be this woman being treated as a child by her husband continuously. Due to this she is kept in a room and becomes sane, thinking there’s a woman behind the mysterious wallpaper and wants to tear it down. This image is related to the book because we see the woman hugging herself she’s happy and free, just how the narrator in “The Yellow Wallpaper” felt, after she tore the wallpaper down, it was like a relief.
